Motion

Overview

Motion at Rove is quick and sure, like a good footfall. Things arrive fast and stop clean; nothing floats or bounces. One curve and three timings cover the website, the shop screens and the app.

Principles

Three habits keep motion feeling like Rove.

Curve

Our curve leaves fast and lands firm. Use it for anything that arrives, moves or leaves, instead of a tool's default. Small things take the fast timing, most moves the base, and a page or a drawer the slow one. With reduced motion on, every move becomes a short fade.

Fades take about half as long as the move they go with.

In use

The curve on the pieces every screen has: a button pressing, a size picker switching, a filter drawer opening from its button, a product carousel swiping. The R settles into place the same way.
